House concerts offer a unique and intimate experience that differs significantly from public venue shows. This distinction is reflected in the ticket pricing for several reasons:
1. Limited Capacity: House concerts are intentionally designed for a smaller, more exclusive audience. Unlike public venues that can accommodate hundreds or even thousands of attendees, house concerts have a limited guest list. This exclusivity ensures a more personal and up-close interaction with the artist.
2. Customised Experience: House concerts provide hosts and their guests with a tailor-made musical event. The artist can often adapt their performance to the preferences and atmosphere of the specific gathering, creating a one-of-a-kind experience that is not possible in larger, more standardised venues.
3. Personal Interaction: At a house concert, there is a greater opportunity for hosts and attendees to engage with the artist. Unlike public shows where performers often remain backstage or in designated areas, house concert hosts and guests may have the chance to mingle with the artist both before and after the performance. This level of interaction fosters a deeper connection between the artist and their audience.
4. Equipment Hire: House concerts require specific equipment and setup that may not be readily available in a private residence. This includes sound systems, lighting, and other technical considerations that need to be brought in to ensure a high-quality performance and experience for attendees.
5. Logistical Considerations: Public venues often have infrastructure in place, such as built-in stages and professional sound systems, which reduces certain costs for the artist. In contrast, house concerts may require additional logistical arrangements and resources to create a comparable concert experience for attendees.
6. Travel and Accommodation: Shaun and his team may need to travel long distances to get to your place. This can involve expenses related to transportation, accommodation, and other logistical arrangements.
7. Insurance and Safety: Hosting events in private residences may require additional insurance coverage to ensure the safety of both the artist and the attendees. This extra layer of protection comes with associated costs that can contribute to the ticket price.
In summary, the pricing of house concert tickets is influenced by the exclusive, intimate nature of the event, as well as the additional logistical, technical, and personalised elements that contribute to creating a unique and memorable musical experience for hosts and their guests.

Hosts are required to sell a minimum of 30 tickets at least 30 days before the concert date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation. In some cases, exceptions are made for unforeseen circumstances. However, hosts are advised not to rely on this being the case, and to aim at having the minimum tickets sold in time. Any exceptions are made solely at the discretion of the artist and their team.

Ticket Sales Commission
-
One of the benefits of hosting a house concert is the potential to earn commission from ticket sales. Here's how it works:
0-49 ticket sales: Host earns 10% from each ticket sold.
50-79 ticket sales: Host earns 15% from each ticket sold.
80-99 ticket sales: Host earns 20% from each ticket sold.
100+ ticket sales: Host earns 25% from each ticket sold.
This means the more tickets you sell, the higher your commission percentage. It's a great incentive to promote and fill your house concert!
-
You'll receive your commission within 14 business days from the date of your house concert. This gives us enough time to process sales and ensure all ticket sales are accurately accounted for.
-
Yes, you have the flexibility to allocate your commission from ticket sales. Choosing to give your commission to Shaun directly contributes to sustaining and furthering his career as an artist. This support enables Shaun to continue creating meaningful music and sharing his talent with the world.
