“Kirk was a stand-out.” – THE GLADSTONE OBSERVER, March 2014

Agnes Water Blues & Roots Festival – Sunday 2nd March, 2014

THE best was saved until last on Sunday afternoon. Shaun Kirk blew the crowd away with his unbelievable ability to do so many things at once with two arms and two legs.

Kirk belted out some big notes in the falsetto range, abruptly changing to some soft, quiet tones to create a wonderful contrast.

He played the harmonica, worked two stomp boxes, played the acoustic guitar and sang at the sametime, making it hard to keep your eyes off him.

He put 100% into every song, a fantastic act to end what was a fantastic festival.

Kirk made the performance personal by telling parts of his rise to success from working in a music store every day to jumping in his car and starting a career.

Kirk’s Two Hands On The Wheel and Find Me A Lady were well received by the audience, getting the women and men to repeat after him in unison.

Kirk was a stand-out.
